Does Admiral Security have positions available?

Does Admiral Security require previous security experience?

Yes!  Many of our contracts require at least one year of previous security or military experience; however, if you have a background as a concierge, an advanced degree, or good customer service experience, we encourage you to apply if you meet our basic requirements.  These are: 

  • 21 years of age in most jurisdictions
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • High school diploma/GED

How do I apply?

Do I have to apply via a computer?

In the Washington DC Metro area, applying online will allow us to review your qualifications in an expedient manner and minimize the time it takes to complete the application process.  We strongly encourage you to apply online, but you may also contact us to set up an appointment to complete an application using one of our computer kiosks located in our office.   Please note that completing an application in our office does not guarantee you an interview.

If I do not complete my on-line application, what happens to my information?

Your application must be complete for us to consider you for employment.  However, our convenient on-line system allows you to create an ID and password that will allow you to login again at a later time to complete your application.

Once I complete an on-line application, what happens next?  When will I be contacted?

Once your on-line application has been submitted it will be reviewed thoroughly.  If your skills and experience are a good match, you will be contacted by an Admiral Representative.  This usually happens within a two week timeframe.  You may be scheduled for an interview or we may have additional follow-up questions for you.  If you are not contacted within 30 days, we may have chosen another applicant that was a better fit for the position.  We will keep your application on file and may contact you in the future if a more suitable opportunity presents itself.

How should I prepare if I get called for an interview?

It is important that you dress professionally for your interview.  Business casual or business dress is required.  These dress items are not acceptable:  jeans, shorts, sweats, t-shirts, leggings, jeggings, sneakers, low-cut or extremely tight clothing, and torn/dirty clothing.

Additionally, please bring the following items:

  • A valid government issued ID
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED
  • If previous Military, copy of your DD214
  • A copy of your resume if you have one
  • Any active security guard licenses

What are the grooming and appearance standards at Admiral Security?

Uniforms will be provided but it is the officers’ responsibility to keep the uniform clean, neat and in good repair.  Male officers must have conservative hair styles that are natural color and does not touch the back of the collar. The face is to be clean shaven.  Men cannot wear earrings while on duty. Female officers must have conservative hair styles that are natural color.  If the hair is shoulder length or longer, it must be pulled up off the collar.  Women may wear post-type earrings no larger than a dime.  For all officers, no other visible piercings or visible tattoos are acceptable.

If I am selected for employment, will I be required to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening?

Yes, Admiral Security conducts drug screening and will verify criminal background, education, employment history and references for applicants who have accepted a contingent offer of employment.  This is also required by many jurisdictions where we provide security services.
